Book 2-6 what to say when you talk to yourself

Shad Helmstteter in the next few chapters is giving examples of how we could change our Attitude. Everything we do is affected directly or indirectly by our attitude. By changing our attitude we could almost change everything in our life.

The Better the Attitude the better the results. ‘Since our attitudes are the result of our programming it makes good sense to take a look at the attitudes we are living with and which of them we might like to change'

I am sharing below some of the self-talks phrases suggested by Shad.

For Taking responsibility.

“I enjoy being responsible. It puts me in charge of being me- and that’s a challenge I enjoy”

“I choose to leave nothing about me to chance. When it comes to me – and anything in my life- I choose to CHOOSE!”

For Building Self-esteem

“I smile a lot. I am happy on the inside and I am happy on the outside”

“I have many beautiful qualities about me. I have talents and skills and abilities. I am discovering new talents inside myself all the time”

For Solving Problems

“I do not fear problems I solve them. I do not ignore problems. I confront them and I conquer them.”

“I am good at solving problems. I like challenges and I meet them head-on.”

For being in control

"I am organized and in control of my life. I am in control of myself, my thoughts, my time, my actions and my future.”

Similarly I urge each of you to write down statements for each area of your life and read it daily.

Please note that each statement that you write has to be specific, and should be directed towards achieving a goal or solving a problem.
